Everyday I read the news I get more hurt
What is the world coming to?
I remember waking up to terror in America
September 11 is a day I will NEVER forget
But out of tragedy came heroes too
I read what happens in the land of Abraham, David, and Jesus
Constant violence and terror
People living in constant fear of an attack
I hear about it all of the time on the News

Just because they are not of the same race and religion
If I was a Catholic in Belfast, I may not be safe
and I am sure that I would be persecuted as well
If I was a Moslem in the former Yugoslavia so long ago
I would be dead now or hurt horribly
It wasnt so long if I practiced religion or protested the system in Eastern Europe
that I could die for my beliefs or be imprisoned
