Crobar - Tsumani Benefit January 26, 2005

I have to say I had the time of my life last night.... but I have to say thank you first to some people...

*To Darren for spending some time with us before the show after the soundcheck and getting pictures (individual and group) and for an amazing performance for a great cause too that I wont forget!!!!
*To ALL of the wonderful and caring fans I met from all over whether it was for the 1st time I've met you in person or a repeat time... Darren fans are the best and are like family... LOTS of LOVE and hugs to all of you!!!
*To Terry for sharing her hotel room with me so I would have a place to stay
*To Betty Ann for sharing an extra VIP ticket with me (and do thank your friend for me... I wish she could've came!!)
*To Cindy for sharing a cab ride from the airport to the hotel and waiting for me cause my plane was delayed.
*To the lady at Crobar who let us in early on so we wouldnt freeze outside and stuff.
*To Mike (the bouncer I think thats his job) for not giving us a hard time about being inside
*To the lady who told us Darren would stop by to see us fans for a few minutes

It was a long day but to me what happened at Crobar was priceless!!!!

I got there around 5pm or so with Holly and Rachel as we walked several LONG blocks to the club from the restaurant. Jorja, Betty Ann, and Claudia went before us because of some ticket issues.
We were all waiting with a few others when a kind lady let us in so we wouldnt freeze and led us to an area inside. As we were sitting around talking and taking some pictures, we heard someone singing. It got quiet then we gradually made our way and saw Darren onstage doing his soundcheck. He did bits and pieces of "Insatiable", IKILY, TMD, Dublin Sky, Unlovable and Darkness plus the cover of the Eurythmics song "Miracle Of Love". I was breathless and taken away despite it just being soundcheck!! During that time a lady came up to me, and asked me if we were all Darren fans or something, I said we are all fans here!!
We went back to the area where we were at when we were let in, and someone said that Darren would stop by for a few minutes to chat and take a few pictures. He came by to the area where about 10-15 people were at the time (more fans came later but not many were there and in with us at the soundcheck thing!). He talked with us and made us laugh with a few comments then posed for individual pictures then a few of all of us with him too. What a great guy to take the time to acknowledge and thank us for coming, and making us smile and laugh too!! After that was over, he had to go then we could get our tickets and wristbands then we had to freeze out in the cold till we were let inside. I got right to the front of the stage (as I am short I need to be able to see LOL!!)
A DJ played some Australian artists' songs, and alot of cheering & applause when he chose to play TTMAB!!! Then a guy came out and did some Aborigine thing with a digeroo (sorry cant spell those words) then there was 2 other acts plus a few speakers, and some video of things about the tsumani appeal and stuff.
Darren was last up onstage, and he was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO WORTH the wait!!!
He performed the following songs (and i don't recall the order of the the songs) - Insatiable, Darkness, Unlovable, TMD, IKILY and a cover of the Eurythmics song "Miracle of Love". He got great feedback with screaming and applause with every song. I kept my digital camera busy and couldnt keep my eyes off him at all. He is soooooooo amazing live in concert for sure. It was the best night of my life.... and I wished it could last forever!!!
